Since the second week of October, the Diploma in Early Prevention has been taking place in Cartagena—a program aimed at strengthening the preparedness and knowledge of our community members, especially children and their families, some of whom are part of Fundación Renacer en Amor.
This diploma program is led by the MAYOR'S OFFICE OF CARTAGENA, through its Risk and Development Prevention offices (CARGD), in collaboration with the University of Cartagena. At Fundación Renacer en Amor, we are committed to this training because we strongly believe in the importance of preparing our community to face any atmospheric event and the necessity of knowing the information and response channels in emergency situations.
Additionally, participants are trained in the use of advanced risk management tools. Cartagena has positioned itself as a pioneer in Colombia by implementing the Cartagena Early Warning System (SATAP), an innovative, mobile-accessible platform that allows children and their parents to report emergencies quickly and effectively. This system is essential for enhancing preparedness against climate changes and other potential risks that may affect our region.
At Fundación Renacer en Amor, we are deeply grateful for this opportunity, which represents a crucial step toward a safer, more prepared, and resilient community. Our commitment remains steadfast: to contribute to a safer future for everyone. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible!
